Casting Call!

Elena  - Camilla Belle
Thomas - Alex Pettyfer
A friend of mine the other day pointed out that I haven't nearly been posting enough information on my blog about the upcoming release of The Damned, the second book in The Hunted series.
I can safely promise you that I am working on having the covers, and synopsis's to the next four books worked on for your perusal, but alas, my editor wants to make me sound fabulous which I wholeheartedly support.
William - Tom Welling
So, in lieu of the fact that I have no exciting cover pictures or words of insight into the next books' release, I thought I'd entertain the idea of The Hunted being made into a movie (it could happen, no laughing).
So for those of you that have read the story, I'm sure you have some pretty strong imagery for whom you would match up for certain roles. I of course have absolutely no idea, so I'm about to scroll through Google images and hope for the best. I'm also probably only going to do some of the main characters because I'm bound to get bored about half way through this post or get so caught up with perving on some of the fine young actors out there that I'll forget to come back.
Here we go:
Lucas - Lucas Till
1. Elena Manory - Camilla Belle: She's gorgeous and got sass.
2. William Granville - Tom Welling: Don't ask me why, but I've always had a thing for Superman and he's kind of what I imagined William looking like while I was writing the story.
3. Lucas Manory - Lucas Till: I mean how cute are those dimples?
4. Thomas Woodland - Alex Pettyfer: Hot, hot, hot. I may get arrested just hanging out on his bio page, but this guy is off the charts and I think quite fitting to play one of my sexy-ass vampires.
Marianne - Taylor Swift
5. Marianne Woodland - Taylor Swift: With that curly blonde hair and devilish grin, I think she could pull of sweet and sour quite nicely.

Anyway, they're my pick for now, but you might have other ideas. In which case, please flick me through a comment and I'll post up your suggestions soon!
Have a great weekend and keep your eyes peeled. You just never know when The Hunted is coming to the big screen ...

Follow Friday #17

Happy Friday everyone!
Yes, it’s that time of week again where bloggers unite to participate in the Follow Friday venture. The idea behind #FF is to promote traffic to your own blog, make new friends with other like-minded bloggers and discuss new and interesting topics each week.
Participating is simple. First you need to follow my blog because I’m totally awesome, then you can follow me on Twitter @kristyberridge (actually you don’t have to do this, it’s wishful thinking), but do follow my blog or assassins will get you …
Then you must follow our illustrious hosts Rachel of http://www.parajunkee.com/ and Alison of http://www.alisoncanread.com/ If you want more details on how to enter your own blog in the follow and hop, all directions are on their webpages
Now, once you’ve followed, check out my answer to this week’s questions and don’t forget to leave a comment so I can do the right thing and follow you back!

This week's question: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

My answer: Just about anything that isn't supernatural in theme! As narrow-minded as that probably sounds, I don't really get much time to read since I'm a writer myself, so when I do get the chance, I like to immerse myself in the genre that gets me truly excited! That's what I love about fiction, escaping to a world so far removed from reality that I'm often left pining for the extraordinary!

Australia Day

Look out everyone, tomorrow it's Australia day in the land of thongs, BBQ's and back yard cricket. Ironically I'm not especially a fan of any of those activities, but I can appreciate Australia day for what it means to me ... A public holiday!
Yes, as unpatriotic as that sounds, I'm just damn happy that I don't have to put in a hard days work tomorrow. I can sleep in, ignore the fact that the lawn needs mowing, drink alcohol until I forget my name and eat Tim Tams until my waistline stops warring and simply gives up. I love my country, but boy do I love not having to work more!
So in honor of this great day of celebrated laziness, I thought I'd think about all the great Australian things that make me proud to be an Aussie!
1. Hugh Jackman - Super hot and talented! Need I say more?
2. John Farnham - The king of comeback and 'I have no idea what the word retirement means'.
3. The Great Barrier Reef - Too damn expensive for locals to visit regularly, but mighty impressive in the brochures!
4. Ayers Rock - That great big pile of red rock and dirt in the middle of the country.
5. Thongs - Flip Flops, other wise known as rubber footwear. We also do the bum variety too, but you can't wear those on your feet ... (Unless you're a weirdo)
6. Kangaroos - Bouncing pains in the ass when they jump in front of moving vehicles on road trips.
7. Meat Pies - Soooo fattening and you might find a finger one day, but good eating with some tomato sauce.
8. 'She'll be right, mate' - Best saying for absolutely everything you can't be bothered finding a solution for.
9. Ned Kelly - Bush Ranger and the only man in history to rock out a garbage can on his head.
10. Vegemite - Burns like a mother going down, but it puts the roses in your cheeks and makes cheese sandwiches taste awesome.
Well, that's my list. There are a hundred other things I love about my country ... but mostly it's the public holidays.
Have a good one everyone,

Kristy :)
